How can we help?
What PageAudit checks, where the data comes from, what it costs and how agents use it.
Frequently asked questions
What does an audit check?
Checks cover page metadata and indexing headers, Open Graph, JSON-LD parsing, headings, alt text, crawl files and redirects, robots.txt decided for Googlebot, Bingbot and the AI search and training crawlers, and real-user Core Web Vitals from the Chrome UX Report, plus llms.txt, security.txt, API catalog, favicon response and a random missing-page probe. Well-known extras (change-password, app association, OAuth/OIDC, A2A Agent Card, WebAuthn related origins) run only when the page declares them or matches their function. A Google lab test (Lighthouse) runs on demand. Reports include evidence and references. Visual accessibility, user journeys and full protocol compliance are not tested.
Does it use AI?
No. Rules inspect the fetched page and resource responses without a language model; real-user speed comes from Google's Chrome UX Report and the optional lab test from Google PageSpeed Insights. Results can change as resources, network availability or expiry dates change. Placeholders such as {{DESCRICAO}} mark what only you can write.
Does every site need llms.txt and well-known files?
No. /.well-known/ is a standardized location for specific protocols, not a directory every site must expose. llms.txt is an optional community proposal. Extra well-known checks run only when they apply (passwords, apps, OAuth/MCP, A2A, related origins). Missing optional files are informational; unavailable or incomplete checks say Not verified. Neither those observations nor an intentional noindex lower new audit scores.
What is the patch?
Open ‘Get suggested changes’ in your report for the page tags and missing files. Review the changes, fill the placeholders with your own content, apply them to your website and run the audit again.
What is free and what costs?
Ten audits a day per network, twenty saved pages and every single-check tool are free without an account. Extra saved pages cost US$ 0.05 and audits beyond the allowance cost US$ 0.02 each. You see the price before continuing.
What is the 90-day trial?
Sign in with an account: for 90 days from your first use there is no paywall on audits and saved pages, and your projects follow you to any device. Once per account. No card, no plan.
Can it watch a page and warn me?
Yes. Add the page to a project, sign in and switch on Watch daily: we re-check it once a day and e-mail you when the score drops or a new error or warning appears — never when it improves. Up to five pages per account, and the page's Run history shows every past run and what changed between them.
Do I need an account?
Not to audit: audits run without one and your projects are kept for this browser. An account adds the trial, syncs your projects across devices and is what makes the daily watch possible — the alert needs an e-mail to reach. Agents pay per request instead.
Can I put the audit on my own site?
Yes, with one script tag. The widget shows the audit form with your name and colour, runs the same auditor and never asks your visitor for an e-mail. There is no account and no key: get the snippet at /api/embed, or preview it at /embed?brand=Your%20Site. It runs on the same free allowance, and a small ‘Audited by PageAudit’ line is the only thing we ask in return.
Can I use it from an agent?
Yes. Open Integrations and agents for the API catalog, technical reference, MCP setup and payment options. Agents can run audits, read results and retrieve suggested changes directly.
Can I sponsor, advertise or partner?
Yes. This product's placements, the suggested 30-day price and the proposal form are at /partners; we reply within 3 business days.
