# Audit a Nuxt site's SEO with PageAudit

Set the title and description with useSeoMeta, add the sitemap and robots modules and audit the page.

PageAudit · Updated 2026-10-16

## Step 1. Use useSeoMeta

In each page, useSeoMeta writes the title and description, and useHead adds the canonical link.

```vue
<script setup>
useSeoMeta({
  title: "Example home",
  description: "What this page offers, in one sentence.",
});
useHead({ link: [{ rel: "canonical", href: "https://example.com/" }] });
</script>
```

## Step 2. Add the sitemap and robots

Run the commands and set the site address in site.url in nuxt.config. The modules serve /sitemap.xml and /robots.txt.

```sh
npx nuxi module add @nuxtjs/sitemap
npx nuxi module add @nuxtjs/robots
```

## Step 3. Audit the published page

Change the address to the published page. The answer brings the score, the counts and each error with its fix. No key: 10 free audits a day.
