## Step 1. Fill in the title and description

In Content, Design, Configuration, each store view's HTML Head holds the default title and description. On each product and category, the Search Engine Optimization section holds the meta title and the meta description.

## Step 2. Allow the robots and generate the sitemap

In the same design configuration, Search Engine Robots must be INDEX, FOLLOW in production; test copies often come with NOINDEX. Create the sitemap in Marketing, SEO & Search, Site Map, and schedule it in Stores, Configuration, Catalog, XML Sitemap.

## Step 3. Audit the published page

Change the address to a product page. The answer brings the score, the counts and each error with its fix. No key: 10 free audits a day.
